The conference, organised by Government Hospitals in cooperation with Education Plus, is being held at the Gulf Hotel on October 8–9. The opening ceremony featured a video presentation outlining the conference's objectives and main themes, followed by a video from the Ministry of Interior's Alternative Sentencing Directorate highlighting its efforts and programmes to support beneficiaries, promote recovery and facilitate reintegration into society.
The directorate also delivered a presentation on its key initiatives, programmes and experiences in this field. The ceremony included a discussion with an individual in recovery, who shared their experience and highlighted the importance of psychological, social and professional support in promoting stability and reintegration into society.
Held under the theme "Recovery: Hope, Resilience and Renewal", the fourth edition of the conference addresses a broad range of scientific and professional topics related to mental health, including the latest developments in diagnosis, treatment, research and psychological and social interventions.
The conference also reviews experiences and practices that support recovery, empower individuals to resume their social and professional roles, and improve their quality of life.
