NHRA presents two scientific papers at ISQua International Conference in Ireland

The National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) participated in the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) International Conference in Ireland, where two scientific papers prepared by NHRA employees were accepted and presented.

The delegation was headed by Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, NHRA Chief Executive Officer, with the participation reflecting Bahrain’s growing contribution to international efforts to advance healthcare quality and regulatory practices.

The first paper, presented by Nargis Ashkanani, NHRA Health Quality Assurance Specialist, examined "Enhancing Quality Indicator Reporting Across All Hospitals in the Kingdom of Bahrain: The National Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Monitoring Platform." It highlighted the development of a national digital platform to monitor hospital KPIs, improve the collection and analysis of quality data, strengthen monitoring and reporting, and support continuous improvement in healthcare services.

The second paper, presented by Dana Al Sabbagh, NHRA Health Quality Assurance Specialist was titled "Transitioning Towards Sustainability in Bahrain’s National Accreditation Programme." It highlighted the NHRA’s experience in digitally transforming the national accreditation programme and integrating sustainability principles into its processes to optimise resource use, streamline procedures and improve the efficiency of accreditation operations.

The participation highlights the value of Bahrain’s national experience in advancing healthcare quality and accreditation, as well as the contribution of Bahraini professionals to scientific research and the exchange of specialised expertise with international organisations.
