Nabeel bin Yaqoob Al Hamar, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs, inaugurated Bahrain’s first Children’s Book Fair, organised by Bahrain Trust Foundation in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities at the Safeya Ali Kanoo Hub for Arts.
Al Hamar and the attendees toured the fair and viewed a diverse selection of children’s books presented by publishers and bookstores from Bahrain and abroad. The fair offers children and families a wide range of books, stories and other content catering to different age groups and interests. They also toured the accompanying cultural and artistic activities.
The Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs expressed appreciation for the contributions of the late Safeya Ali Kanoo and her support for the building, which has become a venue for initiatives focused on children’s culture and the arts, providing a space that brings families together around books and creativity.
The fair runs from September 23 to October 3, at the Safeya Ali Kanoo Hub for Arts, with the participation of publishing houses and bookstores and a programme of activities for children and families.
