HM King issues Order (19) of 2026 establishing the King Hamad Global Institute for Justice

SDGs Bahrain Awards

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Order (19) of 2026 establishing the King Hamad Global Institute for Justice.

The order stipulates that the institute will be established independently under the honorary presidency of His Majesty the King.

His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King, shall chair the Board of Trustees and be responsible for overseeing the Institute’s management and operations and exercising the powers necessary to achieve its objectives.

The order also provides for the appointment of board members by royal order for renewable four-year terms and mandates the Board to issue internal regulations governing the Institute’s organisational structure, employee affairs, and operational procedures.

The order shall take effect from the date of its issuance and shall be published in the Official Gazette.
