The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has launched "Sanad", an AI-powered virtual assistant that provides customers with instant support and answers to enquiries 24 hours a day through its website, lmra.gov.bh.
The new service forms part of government efforts to improve service delivery and accelerate digital transformation. It features fully digital procedures, a more user-friendly interface and a 25% reduction in the number of required approvals. Service-level agreement times have also been reduced by at least 25%, with service information standardised across all channels.
Essam Ramadhan, Head of Human Resources and Training at LMRA, said Sanad strengthens customer communication by providing round-the-clock assistance and making use of advances in artificial intelligence.
He added that the authority would continue to adopt modern technologies to simplify procedures, save time and effort for individuals and businesses, and improve operational efficiency.
The launch forms part of wider government efforts to improve public services, with more than 1,300 services documented, translated and published and 800 redesigned based on feedback submitted through the Tawasul National Suggestions and Complaints System, investor feedback and service assessments.
