The Ministry of Social Development is organising the "Our Heritage, Our Glory" exhibition under the theme "Bahraini Creativity with an Authentic Spirit" on October 28–29, at the Capital Mall for Bahraini Handicrafts, with the participation of Bahraini artisans.
The exhibition aims to support traditional crafts, preserve Bahrain’s handicraft heritage and promote national products.
Ziad Adel Darwish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development, affirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting Bahraini artisans and showcasing their creativity through exhibitions and events that provide opportunities to display their products and highlight their skills.
He underscored the importance of handicrafts in preserving national identity and passing Bahrain’s authentic heritage on to future generations.
He added that the exhibition forms part of the ministry’s efforts to empower artisans economically and socially, encourage local production and expand marketing opportunities for handmade products, helping sustain traditional crafts and turn individual skills and creativity into promising business opportunities.
The exhibition features live demonstrations by Bahraini artisans showcasing their skills and traditional techniques, alongside a variety of handicrafts reflecting the authenticity of Bahrain’s heritage and the diversity of local artisanal products.
The event is part of the ministry’s initiatives to support Bahraini artisans, raise public awareness of the importance of preserving traditional crafts and encourage demand for national products, contributing to the sector’s sustainability and its role in social and economic development.
