Education Ministry honours 130 public, private schools

The Ministry of Education has honourd 130 schools named as Microsoft Global Technology Incubator Schools, celebrating their achievement at a ceremony titled Pioneers of Digital Excellence.

The event was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, and Sheikh Saif bin Hilal Al Hosani, General Manager of Microsoft Bahrain and Oman.

In his remarks, the Education Minister congratulated the 125 government schools and five private schools that earned this designation, noting that their efforts helped Bahrain secure a recent global milestone as the country with the largest number of Technology Incubator Schools in 2025.

He highlighted the Ministry’s pride in its strong partnership with Microsoft, commending the company’s role in advancing digital learning by providing up-to-date tools and technologies, and commending schools for their commitment to innovation in education.

On his part, Sheikh Saif bin Hilal noted that the progress achieved by Bahrain’s schools reflects sustained work to enhance the education sector, particularly in the use of digital technologies. He commended the ministry’s leadership in embedding technology across all levels of schooling, emphasising that Bahrain’s success did not come easily but was the product of clear vision, determination, and consistent follow-through.

The ceremony also honoured schools that have earned the designation across several cycles, including the current year, as well as the winners of the Ministry’s 2025 educational Minecraft competition, which promotes digital creativity among students.
