The Primary Health Care Centres, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Social Development, and several governmental and civil institutions, launched the Dignity and Safety "Wiqar Wa Aman" campaign.

Lieutenant General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), and Dr. Jaleela Al Sayed Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, along with senior officials.

The SCH Chairman highlighted Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to the elderly, recognising them as a cornerstone of society and a source of wisdom and inspiration, and underscored the Kingdom’s dedication to providing comprehensive health and social services through a collaborative government-civil partnership.

The campaign aims to raise public awareness of elderly rights, promote family and social care based on respect and appreciation, and strengthen national values of social solidarity through educational programmes, workshops, and field initiatives that empower the community to actively support and care for senior citizens.
