Dr. Bin Dainah emphasised that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, places great importance on environmental safety and public health within its strategic plans. He said that this commitment is reflected in the development of legislation and policies, infrastructure enhancement, and raising public awareness in cooperation with local and international partners to achieve sustainable development goals and preserve environmental resources for future generations.
He also highlighted the role of Bapco Energies, led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Energies, in leading Bahrain’s energy transition. He noted that the company has introduced numerous initiatives and policies in the oil and gas sector to emphasise its commitment to national and international health and safety standards. Dr. Bin Dainah added that these achievements are the result of collective efforts and close cooperation among all concerned entities. He underscored the importance of maintaining regional and international cooperation to enhance collective capacity to address challenges, share successful experiences, and align efforts towards a safer and more sustainable future.
He noted that Global HSE Conference and Exhibition is a key platform for showcasing best practices in operational improvement, digitalisation in health and safety systems, reliability, and the use of artificial intelligence and data analysis. He emphasised the need to enhance prevention and response to health, safety, and environmental challenges more effectively.
Dr. Bin Dainah expressed appreciation to the organising committee for their efforts in hosting this international event in Bahrain. He emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to fully supporting such events that benefit the broader system of health, safety, and environment, and help promote knowledge sharing, capacity building, and skills development as the foundations of sustainable development.
He also thanked Saudi Aramco, the event’s main sponsor, and partners including Bapco Energies, GPIC, Alba, Schlumberger, as well as the international speakers and participants who contributed to the success of the conference.
The conference featured a range of programmes, including keynote speeches by industry leaders, high-level panels, technical sessions and specialised workshops.
