Youth Affairs Minister: “NextGen Board” a pioneering step to empower Bahraini youth

Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, emphasised that the “NextGen Board” initiative launched by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) is a pioneering step that reflects confidence in the capabilities of Bahraini youth and provides broader opportunities for them to develop businesses and contribute to their sustainability.

The minister said the initiative aligns with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, who believes in empowering youth to innovate and transform ideas into real projects that drive national development.

She also highlighted the support of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), for all efforts aimed at investing in national talent and enhancing the skills of Bahraini youth. She commended Tamkeen’s initiatives to provide youth with platforms to express their ideas and develop their potential.

Tawfiqi said that the “NextGen Board,” comprising talented young Bahrainis, will be a driving force supporting Tamkeen’s mission and complementing its efforts to promote a culture of innovation and creativity. She emphasised that the Ministry of Youth Affairs will continue supporting such initiatives as a key contributor to developing and empowering Bahraini youth
