Under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Amana Healthcare Bahrain Inaugurated in Al Jasra

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Amana Healthcare Bahrain was officially inaugurated at its purpose-built facility in Al Jasra.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Lieutenant General Doctor Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH).

The event brought together senior leaders from across Bahrain’s healthcare and governmental sectors, including Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, and Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat).

Also in attendance were members of the Boards of Directors of Mumtalakat and Amana Healthcare Bahrain, senior representatives from the UAE-based M42 Group, and a distinguished group of senior officials from Bahrain’s public and private healthcare sectors.

As the Kingdom’s first-of-its-kind hospital dedicated to specialised long-term care and post-acute rehabilitation, Amana Healthcare Bahrain represents a significant step forward in enhancing patient flow, expanding the continuum of care, and strengthening the resilience and sustainability of the national healthcare system in line with Bahrain’s Vision 2030.

The inauguration ceremony included keynote remarks by the SCH Chairman, CEO of Mumtalakat, and Dr. Mohamed Ameen AlSaati, CEO of Amana Healthcare Bahrain, and was followed by the unveiling of the official inauguration plaque and a tour of the facility’s advanced clinical and rehabilitative spaces.

On the occasion, the SCH Chairman said:

"There is no doubt that the inauguration of the Amana Healthcare Bahrain represents a qualitative leap and an important addition in the development of the healthcare system in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and enhances the quality and efficiency of specialized services provided to citizens, in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, aimed at promoting sustainable health development."

Additonally, the CEO of Mumtalakat, said:

"This project reflects Mumtalakat’s vision of building strategic partnerships with the private sector and supporting initiatives that deliver meaningful impact within the community. It also reaffirms our long-term commitment to investing in vital sectors that contribute to diversifying the national economy and strengthening healthcare services, ultimately driving sustainable economic development in the Kingdom of Bahrain."

Dr. AlSaati, remarked:
