Feryal Abdullah Nass, Chairperson and Founder of the BahrainEntrepreneurship Organisation (BEO), highlighted the significance of the WorldBusiness Angels Investment Fourm WBAF 2024, supported by the patronage of HisRoyal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and PrimeMinister. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance andNational Economy, was present at the forum.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Nass noted thatthe forum is being held for the first time in Bahrain and the Arab world, incollaboration between the BEO and the WBAF office.
She stated that the event aims to bring togetherentrepreneurs, investors, startups, and investment leaders worldwide to exploreopportunities for startup investment. It also provides a platform for localstartups to engage with international counterparts, fostering collaborationsand partnerships while securing funding from investors to develop theirprojects.
Nass added that the forum has attracted over 400participants from 42 countries, with 60 startups set to present their projectson the global platform tomorrow to attract investments.
She emphasised the forum's role in drawing investments toBahrain and developing startup innovations in technology, artificialintelligence, and environmental solutions. These align with Bahrain’s economicvision and the goals of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to positionBahrain as a regional hub for startups and investors. She affirmed that thisapproach would strengthen Bahrain’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and support thegovernment’s strategy to make it one of the strongest in the region.
