His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (14) of 2025, establishing the Bahrain Space Agency, based on a proposal by the Prime Minister and following the approval of the Cabinet.

According to the decree, the Bahrain Space Agency will replace the National Space Science Agency in name and function.

The new agency will be under the Supreme Defence Council and subject to the supervision of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council.

All references in Decree (11) of 2014 on the establishment and structuring of the National Space Science Agency shall be amended accordingly.

The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this decree, which shall come into effect the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
