Under patronage of HM King, RMS emergency medicine, isolation ward, open MRI buildings opened

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the inauguration ceremony of the Royal Medical Services Emergency Medicine Building, Isolation Ward and Open Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Building was held today. His Majesty deputised Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), who assigned Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, to attend the inauguration ceremony, which took place at the Bahrain Defence Force Hospital.

The event coincided with the celebration of the 58th anniversary of the establishment of the BDF.

Lt. Gen. Al Nuaimi toured the Emergency Medicine Building, the Isolation Ward and the Open MRI Building, during which he was briefed on the modern facilities and advanced medical equipment included in the expansion.

The minister emphasised that these vital medical projects, particularly the Open MRI device, represent a qualitative leap in diagnostic services. He noted that they constitute a significant addition to the advanced medical services provided by BDF and reflect the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and the follow-up of the Commander-in-Chief.

Lt. Gen. Al Nuiami commended the efforts of the RMS to provide advanced healthcare through the establishment of modern facilities, equipping them with the latest medical equipment, and qualifying medical personnel to the highest standards across various specialisations. He wished everyone continued success, progress and achievement.
