Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of SustainableDevelopment and CEO of the Economic Development Board, participated in aninteractive dialogue held on the sidelines of the UN Summit of the Future atthe United Nations Headquarters in New York during the 79th UN GeneralAssembly.

The dialogue, titled "Towards a Shared Digital Future:Promoting Inclusive Innovation and Collaboration to Bridge the DigitalDivide," was organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Participants included fromworld leaders, ministers, civil society organisations, internationalinstitutions, and youth representatives.

The dialogue was opened by President Alar Karis of Estonia andPresident Dr. Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives, who emphasised the importance ofintensified global efforts for inclusive digital transformation and the role ofdigital innovation in addressing global challenges and promoting sustainabledevelopment.

In her remarks, Al Khulaif highlighted the importance offostering collaboration and sharing expertise in digital transformation. Shenoted that digital innovation is a key pillar in Bahrain’s efforts toaccelerate progress towards achieving sustainable development goals andadvancing various economic and social sectors.
