Thesecond Gulf Hackathon for AI in Education concluded today in Bahrain, organisedby the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States in collaboration with theMinistry of Education. The event was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma,Minister of Education; Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Alasmi, Director General ofthe Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States; and Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid,President of Arabian Gulf University (AGU).
TheMinister highlighted the event’s alignment with efforts to integrate AI intocurricula across the GCC and emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to strengtheningcooperation with the Arab Bureau of Education.
Dr.Al Asmi commended Bahrain's support and noted that the hackathon aligns withthe bureau's forward-looking programmes developed through expert studies andcollaboration with member states.
Theevent ended with the announcement of the competition results and therecognition of the winning student teams. The hackathon saw the participationof 34 high school students from GCC countries, competing to develop AI drivenprojects.
