The General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation implemented the "School Bag for Inmates’ Children" initiative, in cooperation with Public Security Markets. The initiative included distributing school bags and supplies at the start of the new academic year.

Colonel Adnan Juma Bahar, Director-General of the General Directorate of Reformation and Rehabilitation, underlined that the initiative aims to ease the financial burdens on inmates’ families, and to involve inmates in preparing their children both morally and materially, in a way that enhances their family role and responsibility towards their families. He also emphasised the right to education for all without discrimination, and the consolidation of the principles of human rights and social justice.

The Director-General also pointed to the Directorate’s keenness to continue providing care for inmates and their families, and to follow up on their needs.

Children of male and female inmates took part in the event, which was held in a family atmosphere characterised by affection and togetherness. Attendees expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which helped to ease burdens, confirming that it reflects genuine humanitarian values embodied in compassion and solidarity.
