General Policy for the Use of Artificial Intelligence

Launched in 2025, the General Policy for the Use of Artificial Intelligence establishes a national framework for the safe, responsible, and ethical adoption of AI technologies, supporting digital transformation, government efficiency, and sustainable economic and social development. The policy focuses on four key pillars: compliance with national laws and regulations, promoting AI adoption and utilization, enhancing public awareness and knowledge, and strengthening local and international cooperation and partnerships. Key priorities include safeguarding data privacy, promoting ethical and secure AI practices, developing national capabilities, improving government service delivery, fostering innovation, and facilitating knowledge exchange, in alignment with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
