National Aviation Strategy 2026 – 2027

Launched in February 2026, the National Aviation Strategy 2026–2027 aims to strengthen Bahrain’s position as a regional aviation and logistics hub by enhancing global connectivity, expanding aviation capacity, and improving the competitiveness of the civil aviation sector. The strategy focuses on increasing international air connectivity, expanding passenger and cargo handling capacities, and optimizing aviation operations to support economic diversification and sustainable growth. Key priorities include increasing the number of destinations served from 66 to 100 by 2030, strengthening Bahrain’s role in regional and international logistics, and enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of aviation services.
