The Institute of Public Administration and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) launched a joint programme to raise awareness and enhance the knowledge of the national workforce on combating human trafficking and promoting social justice through specialised training initiatives and institutional development.

Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Director General of the Institute, said that the success of any institution begins with empowering its workforce, noting that training is no longer an optional development tool but a key driver of institutional efficiency and sustainable performance. She added that the programme, launched in cooperation with the LMRA, aims to enhance the readiness of the national workforce, improve professional and institutional practices in the areas of protection and social justice, and strengthen institutional capacity to support national efforts to combat human trafficking.

For his part, Nibras Talib, Chief Executive of the LMRA and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, said the programme reflects Bahrain's commitment to promoting awareness and applying international best practices in combating human trafficking. He noted that the initiative supports national efforts to protect human rights through capacity building in this area and reinforcing sustainable institutional practices.

He added that Bahrain continues its efforts to combat human trafficking as part of a national vision that places people at the centre of its priorities through ongoing initiatives to strengthen protection, raise awareness, build capacity and further develop the institutional framework.
